Misco drops price of colour network laser printer to £100

Online retailer Misco has cut the price of the Canon i-SENSYS LBP5050N, a business grade network colour laser printer, to £100, down from £180. The printer costs nearly £175 at Ebuyer.

It has a 600 x 600 dpi print resolution with Canon's own AIR (Automatic Image Refinement) feature pushing it to 9,600 x 600 dpi. It can print at up to 8ppm in colour and 12ppm in mono mode. The LBP5050N has a duty cycle of 25,000 pages per month or two reams of A4 sheets per day.

Connectivity is limited to USB 2.0 and wired Ethernet with compatibility extending from Windows XP to Windows 7 and Mac OS X. Two other interesting features are a fan-less engine design whicn ensures a very quiet printing process while using 8W in sleep mode and an all-in-one colour cartridge that combines the cartridge per se, drum and cleaning units.

Sadly, though, there's no duplex capabilities and the input cassette is limited to 150 sheets with the output one capable of taking 125 sheets.
