The mobile phone market is a cut-throat one and the LG Prada Phone 3.0, which was only released in the UK eight months ago, has been its latest victim.
Poor sales mean that you can now buy the handset from Asda for as little as £200, that's a (very) far cry from the £430 punters were charged when it went on sale six months ago in the UK.
The device is basically an update to the LG Optimus Black and comes with dated18-month old hardware. There's a dual-core TI OMAP4430 processor clocked at 1GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, an 8-megapixel camera, a second front facing camera, HDMI port, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, Android 2.3.7 Ginerbread, DLNA compatibility and a 4.3in 800 x 480 resolution display with NOVA Plus technology.
The phone has been designed in collaboration with Italian fashion house Prada but hasn't really lived up to the expectations it seems.
