T-Mobile released the Vivacity - also known as the ZTE Blade S - at the end of November 2011 and I was immediately struck by its similarities with the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 4.
The mobile phone operator has cut the price of the white version to £49.99 with a compulsory £10 top up. That top up gives you either free texts for one month, 100 UK minutes or up to 70 free international minutes to selected countries. The Vivacity is probably the best handset south of £50 and shares the configuration of the Orange San Francisco 2, also built by ZTE.
There's a single core Qualcomm processor clocked at 800MHz, 512MB of RAM, a bundled 2GB microSD card, a 3.5in capacitive display with an 800 x 480 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS.
Given that 32GB microSD cards can be had for under £9, it does make sense to get one and scrap the 2GB one that comes in the box.
