You can now pick up the Samsung Galaxy S3 (known as the i9300) for as little as £430. This is £70 cheaper than its suggested retail price (or a 14 per cent discount), with Ebay seller e_cell supplying the knock-down handsets.
The product is unlocked and brand new, with a full one-year warranty (you can add a second year for £82). At the time of writing, there are more than 10 smartphones in stock. The handset - which is available in Marble White or Pebble Blue - was released at the beginning of May 2012 and has already sold more than 10 million units, according to Samsung.
It’s considered the main rival to the iPhone 4S and its successor, commonly known as the iPhone 5. The S3 packs a quad core processor (an Exynos 4212 model clocked at 1.4GHz), 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (with a microSD card slot and 50GB of online storage from Box). The phone has a massive 4.8in 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED plus display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2, an 8-megapixel camera and runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich – with Jelly Bean on the way.
