Sharp 80in LED monster TV down to £4,000

If you are after a large size television set, check out the Sharp AQUOS LC80LE646. It is one of the largest television sets commercially available in the UK. With a diagonal size of 203cm, it offers a viewing area nearly three times that of a 50in display.

The set, which weighs a significant 60Kg, comes with Sharp’s AQUOS NET+ and media player capabilities. As well as a Timeshift+ function, this allows you to record a program.

Other features include full LED backlighting, 100Hz (with film dejudder), Quattron 3D technology, an A++ energy rating, with an average power consumption of 131 watt. It also has full HD, Freeview HD, two 10W speakers, DLNA compatibility, USB, four HDMI ports, SCART, component in, AV in, VGA. The set comes with a free USB Wireless LAN dongle but no 3D capabilities: a shame for a TV in this price range.

This costs £3999.99 at Robert Whyte Ltd. You have to pay £70 for the delivery, or you can collect it yourself. In addition, you can knock another £100 by asking Richersounds , with collection in-store, to price match it or shave £70 from John Lewis (with free delivery).
