Carphone Warehouse is selling the Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone and the Galaxy Tab 2 7in tablet for £15.50 per month on a two year contract with a TCO of £372.
The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is available for around £165 after a £30 cash back which means that the contract cost of the Galaxy Y alone is worth £207.
The deal is exclusively available on Orange and T-Mobile mobile phone networks and represents a saving of around £50 over the duration of the contract.
On T-Mobile you get 100 minutes with unlimited texts and 250MB data or 50 minutes, 250 texts and 750MB data. Either way, you won’t pay any extra for web browsing and email with T-Mobile.
The Galaxy Y is an entry level Android smartphone. It packs a single-core 832MHz processor and runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. The handset gets 300MB of RAM, 160MB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 2-megapixel camera, FM radio and a 3.2in display with a 320 x 240 resolution. It's also pretty light, weighing in at less than 100g.
The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 features a 7in 1,024 x 600 display, a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP4430 processor, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA connectivity, a 4000mAh battery, 8GB onboard storage, a VGA front facing camera, a 3-megapixel rear one, GPS and a microSD card slot.
