Blu-ray Home Cinema system from Panasonic on sale for £149

Marks and Spencer has cut the price of the Panasonic SC-BTT262EBK2.1 3D Blu-ray Home Cinema System from £349 to a more affordable £149, a saving of £200 or 57 per cent with the added bonus of having an additional year of guarantee.

The product comes with a decent size subwoofer and two satellites with a rated speaker output power of 520W RMS. It features iPhone compatibility, a radio tuner, one HDMI out, a USB port and an Ethernet one and what Panasonic calls a “Clear Sound Digital Amplifier” which according to the company “analyses the difference between the input and output audio signals, and makes the necessary adjustments to produce an output signal with the same low distortion as the input signal”.

The home cinema system can also convert a 2D movie into a pseudo-3D one (and likewise with the sound we suspect). File format compatibility include DiVX and even DVD-RAM for videos and Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS HD and DTS Master Audio for audio.

In addition other reviews point out to the fact that it has a SD card slot, DLNA compatibility as well as a built in iPhone and iPod dock.
