If your 42in television doesn’t cut the mustard when it comes to watching movies or football matches, then you want might to consider this Sharp LC70LE741E LED television which costs £2,228.98 from DirectTV and will also get you a free refurbished Philips Wireless AV/TV sender.

The delivery normally runs £19.96 but an easy, and admittedly sneaky, work-around is to by buy one copy of Which? magazine for £1 and then cancelling that subscription hours later. The code that will be provided to you should be used within 48 hours.

The LC70LE741E has a 70in (or 177cm) diagonal span and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It comes with a built-in Freeview HD tuner and a number of features that you’d expect on a two-grand display.

The TV's other features include 3D capability, edge LED backlight, a super thin bezel, 100Hz technology with film dejudder, Internet access via Sharp’s own Aquos NET+ technology, DLNA compatibility, Dolby Surround, two 10W speakers, a USB port, DiVX compatibility, four HDMI v1.4 HDMI ports, SCART, AV in, Component in, Optical, VGA, a wireless USB LAN dongle, and Ethernet LAN but, oddly enough, no SD card slot.

The television set has an A+ energy rating and consumes on average 197kWh in one year. Note that you will need to buy separate rechargeable active 3D glasses in order to experience its 3D feature.
