Sony Xperia T gets freebie and a £26 contract price tag

You can now preorder the Xperia T, which is the new flagship model from Sony and replaces the Xperia S, for as little as £26 per month on Orang. The deal is via Phones4U and the delivery date is set for 26 September.

The plan - on Dolphin 26 - includes 400 minutes, 3,000 texts and 250MB of data allowance - and the freebie? A Sony Smartwatch that carries an RRP of £99.

The device, which was unveiled two weeks ago at IFA in Berlin, comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is inspired by the old Xperia Arc range.

Other features include a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 system-on-chip clocked at 1.5GHz, a 13-megapixel camera with full HD video recording, a 4.6in 1,280 x 720 Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA technology, and a front-facing camera,

There's also 3D surround sound, a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, NFC and PlayStation certification.

Compared to the Xperia S, the Xperia T offers minor improvements and is likely to face some competition from its predecessor especially as the latter gets cleared.
