You can grab Samsung’s former top of the range handset, the Galaxy S2, for as little as £15.50 per month. The deal is available either on T-Mobile or on Orange via Buymobilephones on a two-year contract - a sign that the phone is being cleared out.
You get 50 minutes plus either 250 texts and 750MB data on T-Mobile or unlimited texts, free Wi-Fi, 250MB data allowance and one free Swapables on Orange. In either case, you will be on Everything Everywhere’s network.
The Galaxy S2, which was released back in February 2011, comes with a 4.3in Super AMOLED Plus display with a 800 x 480 resolution, a dual-core Samsung Exynos system-on-chip clocked at 1.2GHz, an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB onboard storage, 1GB of RAM, full HD video recording, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (upgradable to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich), a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy S2 remains one of the best smartphones of 2011 and one of Samsung’s best-selling devices ever. It has now been superseded by the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Note 2.
