Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 8GB available from £150

By using one of Tesco’s numerous vouchers, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7in tablet for as little as £150. It involves two simple steps.

Firstly buy the tablet from Tesco direct and grab an electrical product that costs £2 or more; something as small as a bulb or batteries. Then use the voucher code TDX-KNHP at the checkout to bring the price down to £180. Don’t forget to deliver it instore to save on postage costs too.

Then, once you get the device, go to Samsung’s back to school cashback website and fill in the necessary details to get regain £30. To further sweeten the deal, Tesco is offering a bonus 1000 Clubcard points, which means that you get 1,179 points in total, the equivalent of up to £47.16 in deals.

The tablet compares favourably with the 8GB Google Nexus 7 tablet which costs £159. It doesn’t have Jelly Bean or a quad-core system-on-chip but there’s a SD card slot, a rear 3-megapixel camera, GPS and a two-year warranty. Note that there’s no HDMI port or flash.

Samsung has bundled a number of its own applications like Video, Readers, Music and Game hubs, as well as its proprietary Touch Wiz UI.
