Ricoh colour network laser printer down to £77

Online retailer Printware has cut the price of the Ricoh SP C240DN colour laser printer to only £102, but you can get the price down further by using a cashback scheme direct from the Japanese manufacturer which squeezes the price down to just including free delivery.

The printer fits on a 40 x 45 cm area, roughly equivalent to three A4 sheets and ideal for a small home office. It has a fast warm up speed as the first print appears in around 14 seconds according to Ricoh.

The SP 240DN comes with 64MB memory and a quoted 16 pages per minute (both in colour and monochrome) which means that it is using a single-pass laser engine.

Other features include an (interpolated) resolution of up to 2,400 x 600 dpi, a one-sheet bypass tray, a duplex unit, a 250-sheet input tray, an Ethernet port, a USB one plus Pictbridge compatibility.

Note that it is supplied with one set of 1,000-page toners but oddly enough no USB cables. As for the cost of consummables, they are rather expensive as one would expect.

Printware quotes a price of nearly £300 for a CMYK toner bundle with a standard capacity (2,500 pages five per cent coverage), just under four times the price of the printer.
