Grab the HP Pavilion Core i5 laptop with freebies for under £400

HP is currently running a back-to-school promotion with the Pavilion G6-2030SA on offer for as little as £391.20, down from £594. Customers will need to use the code SEPT20OFF to get that price.

HP is also throwing in free delivery, a free Deskjet 3000 printer and an additional one-year warranty worth £44. You can also upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for £14.99 when it launches.

The laptop runs on a second generation Intel Core i5-2450M processor clocked at 2.5GHz with 3MB L3 cache. It has 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard disk drive spinning at 5400PRM, a DVD writer, a webcam, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 pixels display, a VGA and HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port, Intel HD 3000 graphics, Altec Lansing Dolby Advanced audio and a 6-cell Li-Ion battery.

The deal is excellent for students since it includes a printer and extended warranty. However, if you don’t need either of those bonuses, there are cheaper deals like Fujitsu's Lifebook AH532 Notebook with an Ivy Bridge processor or this Acer Aspire 5560G gaming laptop with a dedicated graphics card which will surely be of interest to some.
