Asus Core i7 laptop now available for £576

You can now grab a core i7 laptop from as little as £576.94 including delivery (make sure you use the code PC25 at check out). The laptop, the Asus K53SD-SX103V, is currently available at that price from online retailer Dabs.

The product comes with a Core i7-2670QM processor, a Sandy-bridge based processor clocked at 2.2GHz with four cores. There’s also 4GB of RAM, a massive 500GB hard disk drive, a DVD writer, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 display, an Nvidia Geforce 610M graphics solution with 2GB DDR3, Wi-Fi, Windows 7 Home Premium and a 6-cell 56Whr battery.

Three’s also three USB 2.0 ports, a HDMI one, a SD card slot, GbE connectivity, VGA, a numeric keypad, palm proof technology, a VGA webcam, SonicFocus technology and Altec Lansing speakers.

Asus has also included a number of other proprietary technologies like InstantOn, IceCool design, Power4Gear, Super Hybrid Engine II and a few others as well. Note that you can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro until early next year for as little as £15.

This laptop is aimed at those who want to have a laptop that can crunch through numbers on a budget although some would argue that a speedy Ivy-bridge based dual core device might do the job as well.
