Samsung has been running a scheme which allows smartphone owners to grab either a Galaxy Tab 2 7in, a Galaxy Note 2 10.1in, or a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1in when they upgrade either to the Galaxy S3 or the Galaxy Note.
The service, which is run by Expansys, allows you to trade-in your old phone to get one of the tablets when you upgrade. All major manufacturers (excluding LG) are included and your mileage will vary depending on the phone itself and the tablet you’re after.
For example, upgrade the Samsung Galaxy S5830 Ace to the S3 and get the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for £130, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for £210 or the Note 10.1 for £310, all prices including delivery and with savings off the SRP of up to 35 per cent.
Alternatively, upgrade to the S3 and swap in your Apple iPhone 4S to get the Tab 2 10.1in for free. You will need to send your old smartphone back and the Galaxy tablets will be dispatched within 28 days of trade in.
In theory, the offer – which oddly enough doesn’t cover the Galaxy Note 2 - should be available on a SIM Free, PAYG contract, which makes it an enticing offer if you want to own both the latest Samsung phone and a Samsung Tablet.
