HTC One X+ on pre-order for £474

You can already pre-order the HTC One X+ smartphone (opens in new tab) from online retailer Clove Technology for as little as £474, with first stocks expected to arrive on 22 October.

The One X+ was officially launched yesterday and is a significantly better phone than its predecessor, the HTC One X (which should be further discounted very soon).

Like the latter, the One X+ runs on a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 system on chip but with a more powerful GPU and a higher clock speed. It packs 1GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, 25GB of cloud-based storage free for two years, a massive 4.7in 1,280 x 720 resolution, an 8-megapixel camera with HTC ImageSense chip, Beats Audio technology (but no Beats headphones), Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC, A-GPS, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera and a massive 2,100mAh battery.

(opens in new tab)It is even thinner than the former top of the range HTC smartphone but weighs slightly more. As for previous HTC devices, it comes with HTC Watch and a microUSB port.

The HTC One X is available for around £380, SIM-free, from Expansys and for as little as £20.50 per month on a two-year contract with Orange.
