Packard Bell TS11 gaming laptop on offer for £294

Gamers on the move and on a budget should definitely consider the Packard Bell TS11 laptop which offers a number of gamer-friendly features.

The device, which is on sale for £320 (including VAT and delivery) from Dabs outlet, comes with a quad-core Llano-based AMD A6-3420M processor clocked at 1.5GHz, which can turbo boost to 2.4GHz.

The APU has an integrated graphics module, the Radeon 6520G which offers 320 cores at 400MHz and should offer a nice Crossfire option with the dedicated AMD Radeon HD 7470M graphics subsystem with 1GB of RAM.

The TS11 also has 4GB DDR3 of RAM, 500GB hard drive, a 15.6in Acer Cine Crystal display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, a DVD writer, Wi-Fi, GbE, three USB ports, a card reader, VGA and HDMI out, a webcam and a 6-cell battery.

Packard Bell is owned by Acer, which explains why the laptop comes with a number of Acer applications such as Acer Backup, Acer ePower, eRecovery and so on. The device runs on Windows 7 Home Premium and we’d strongly encourage you to buy an upgrade (for £15) to Windows 8 Pro.

The laptop, which weighs only 2.5kg, has a 4-hour battery life and comes with a one year warranty.
