Price of Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet cut down to £180

It may well be on its last legs but the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, which has now been superseded by a number of tablets from the Taiwanese manufacturer, is hardly going out without a bang.

The device is available on eBay via Consumerelectricals for only £180, a 60 per cent discount off its original selling price and the cheapest 10.1in dual core Android tablet on the market.

This is a manufacturer refurbished model that comes with a full 12-month warranty and free delivery. It runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb and runs on a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 system-on-chip clocked at 1GHz.

Other features include 1GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a front 1.2-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, HDMI port, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 10.1in 1,280 x 800 IPS display with Gorilla Glass.

Arguably what makes it so attractive is that you can plug in a keyboard docking station to transform it into an ultra portable laptop, with double the battery life and a few additional ports.
