UK television set seller Cello has cut the price of its 39in TV set down to £220, making it cheaper than some 32in television sets on the market. When we last looked at it, back in June, the C39114DVB was on sale for £250.
At 39in, it appears that it is replacing the increasingly rare 37in LCD TV sets, and is a good compromise for those looking for something smaller than a 42in set.
The Cello C39114DVB comes with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a 3000:1 typical contrast ratio, 350 nits, an 8.5ms response time, a Sky compatible remote as standard (which works with Sky Digital, Sky Plus and Sky HD Plus), two 6 Watt speakers, three HDMI ports, a USB port that can convert a USB drive into a PVR (with the ability to pause, rewind and record Live TV), D-Sub, SCART, Composite, Freeview and Audio out (but no digital out).
It consumes less than 160 Watts when operating and less than 0.5 Watts on standby.
Ebuyer is also bundling the TV set with some interesting accessories, including a Xenta Mini 8GB 1080p multimedia player with SD MMC and powered by USB for less than £245. This is a saving of nearly £62, according to Ebuyer.
