With the upcoming launch of the Windows 8 OS just around the corner (opens in new tab), Samsung has officially unveiled its range of Windows-enabled devices.
Leading the 'Smart PC' line is the 13in Series 5 Ultra Touch Windows 8 ultrabook (opens in new tab). The laptop will consist of a 1366x768 display, 500GB hard drive with 24g of ExpressCache (high-speed SSD storage) and 4GB of RAM; powered by a Core i3 processor which can be upgraded to a Core i5 for an additional $50 (£31).
The Korean manufacturer's Windows range will also boast a pair of tablets: the Avit Smart PC 500T and 700T. Both models are sporting an 11.6in display, with the 500T having a 64GB hard drive, 2GB of RAM and an Atom Z2760 system-on-chip. The 700T is running on a Core i5, has 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.
There was no release date given for the devices though it is presumed that all Windows 8 models will be available from the software's launch on October 26. Official images of the new products are sure to follow soon from Samsung.
