Microsoft has unveiled Office 365 University; a new SKU of Microsoft’s productivity suite that is aimed specifically at students and priced accordingly for that demographic, reports The Next Web. It will launch in fifty two countries at the end of this quarter.
The package offers a two computer licence at $79.99 (£49.87), that will last the recipient for four years. That works out at a monthly rate of around $1.67 (£1.04) and gives you full access to the Office suite and its component cloud tools.
It also offers additional features such as 60 Skype ‘world minutes’ per month (intended for students studying abroad), Office on Demand that allows users to stream Office on a PC via an Internet connection, and 27GB of storage on Skydrive (Microsoft’s cloud storage system).
The product is aimed at individual students and not universities. It will also be unavailable in China.
