Trio of unannounced Viewsonic tablets emerge on eBay

Three unannounced Viewsonic tablets have emerged on eBay in the UK courtesy of China-based seller Viewmate. The three models, the VB70a Pro (opens in new tab), the VB80a Pro (opens in new tab) and the VB100a Pro (opens in new tab), were released in China in September but have yet to be released on this side of the world.

The three tablets are available for £78, £88 and £118 respectively and share almost exactly the same specifications. They have the same hardware platform - a dual-core Cortex-A9-based Amlogic 8726MX system-on-chip clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage (16GB for the VB100a Pro), a microSD card slot, HDMI, Wi-Fi, a 2-megapixel camera, USB 2.0 port and Android 4.0 ICS.

(opens in new tab)The smallest model has a 7in 1,024 x 600 resolution, no rear camera, a 3000mAh battery and weighs 340g. The 8in model packs a 1,024 x 768 resolution, a 5100mAh battery and a weighs 620g. The biggest model has a 10in XGA display with a 6600mAh battery.

The last two models, which have exactly the same resolution and aspect ratio as the original Apple iPad and the iPad 2, also have Bluetooth and a front-facing camera, plus all of them come with Nectar points courtesy of eBay.
