Asus Google Nexus 7 32GB model goes on sale for £199

You can get the brand new 32GB Nexus 7 tablet for as little as £199 from online shopping retailer with free delivery and a potential £19.90 discount if you’re a new customer. (Check out our review of the Asus Nexus 7 tablet)

The tablet was announced by Argos last week and appeared in the latter’s catalogue days before the Apple iPad Mini and the Amazon Kindle Fire HD are officially launched in the UK.

The tablet is only an upgrade of the existing Nexus 7 16GB but doubles the onboard storage for free; it doesn’t therefore come with a microSD card slot, a HDMI one or a rear camera.

It runs on a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 T30L system-on-chip with 1GB of RAM, a 7in IPS panel with Gorilla Glass and a 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution, a front facing 1.2-megapixel camera, Android 4.1 Jelly bean, NFC, GPS, Android Beam and a weight of only 340g.

The 7in market is likely to be dominated by this tablet, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD (and the Kindle Fire) and the Apple iPad mini, with prices ranging from £129 to £269 for the base units.

It is worth noting that the 16GB Nexus 7 is still on sale for around £179 at Tesco Direct (after a £10 discount voucher).
