LG 42PA4500 42in plasma TV down to £280

Ebuyer is selling the LG 42PA4500 42in Plasma television set on eBay for as little as £280 including delivery, the most affordable plasma set we’ve seen at this price and one that comes with an extremely thin bezel.

The biggest flaw of the set is its display resolution, which at 1,024 x 768 pixels, is less than HD (1,280 x 720) and at 4:3 doesn’t match the screen’s native screen ratio which is 16:9.

The 42PA4500 – which is wall mountable - has two HDMI ports, two 10 speakers, a D-Sub port, Component and Composite connectors, RCA and RF ports but no digital audio in/out.

There’s also a Freeview tuner and a USB port plus it ports a 50Hz refresh rate with 12 sub-fields which translates into a theoretical 600Hz refresh rate. LG also bundled an intelligent sensor technology and a Resolution Upscaler that boosts standard definition content.

The plasma TV set will suit those who want a television set from a branded source and with a decent diagonal size at a rock bottom price and tend to watch SD & HD content rather than full HD. Rivals to that set include this Panasonic LCD television with Freeview HD and that LG 42in television, both of which are available for less than £300.
