LG Nexus 4 pre-order page goes live ahead of 30 October release

British phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has placed the LG Nexus 4 on pre-order with the handset's release date set for 30 October.

The page shows that the new phone will be available for free on a 24 month contract, with prices starting at £31 per month. Service providers O2 and Vodafone are listed as the available networks, and It will also be available SIM-free at £389.95.

The page details the smartphone’s specifications with confirmation it will run the latest version of Google’s operating system, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The Nexus 4 sports a 8MP rear facing camera that can take 360 degree panorama pictures and record at 1080p resolution, is powered by a 1.5Gz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, has 2GB RAM, and a 4.7in display at 1280 x 768 resolution and 320ppi pixel density.

It has 8GB of storage and will connect to 3G, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. It does not have a microSD slot but will come with a USB port and connector.

LG has yet to respond to the early pre-order release as it awaits the phone's official launch at a Android event scheduled for next week Monday.
