Misco is selling the Officejet Pro 8100 for as little as £43 after a £20 cashback. This printer, which is aimed at the entry level/SMB market, promises to save up to 50 per cent of the cost per page compared to a laser model.
It can print at resolutions of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi at speeds of up to 20 pages per minute with a monthly duty cycle of 25,000 pages per month. Surprisingly for this price, it has a massive paper tray that can hold half a ream of paper (that’s 250 A4 sheets) and comes with automatic duplex printing.
Other features include a 150-paper input tray, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, compatibility with Windows, Linux and MacOS and a one-year warranty.
It uses separate ink cartridges, which tend to be more economical, and comes with ePrint capabilities (allowing customers to print remotely), supports Apple’s AirPrint, has a colour LCD display and even a USB cable.
The Officejet Pro 8100 will face competition from the likes of the Dell 1250c colour laser printer or the Canon Pixma iP4850, both of which cost around the same.
