Tesco is selling the Motorola Razr i for as little as £320 with 320 Clubcard points, equivalent to £3.20. The smartphone is unfortunately not a SIM-Free unlocked model as it is tied to Tesco Mobile, an O2 MVNO.
The Razr i is powered by an Intel Atom processor clocked at up to 2GHz. It is a single-core model but should be competitive against dual or even quad-core models that run Android.
The phone is essentially a smaller version of the Razr that was launched last year. It keeps the same 4.3in display with a 960 x 540 pixel display but manages to shrink the chassis of the phone, leaving a thin bezel.
It comes with 1GB of RAM but only 8GB onboard storage. Fortunately, there’s a microSD card slot which means that you can add a 64GB card for as little as £40.
The Razr i runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has an 8-megapixel camera with flash, a VGA front-facing one and is only 8.3mm thick. But over and above the specifications, the smartphone oozes quality with premium materials used throughout.
The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla glass while the back is made up of Dupont Kevlar, a light but ultra-resistant material. It is also both splashproof and dustproof.
