The Nokia Lumia 800, the Finnish company's first Windows Phone 7.5 smartphone, which was launched just over a year ago, is currently on sale at Tesco (on Tesco Mobile) for £140 on PAYG, down from £318. Tesco will also triple any top-ups and will give triple Clubcard points for every £1 top-up.
For those looking for a different network, the phone is also available from Dialaphone on Vodafone, T-Mobile, O2 and Orange for £144 plus an extra compulsory £10 top-up.
The Lumia 800, which has since been superseded by the Lumia 820, 900 and 920, comes with a 3.7in AMOLED display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution, ClearBlack technology, a unibody polycarbonate chassis, a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 system-on-chip clocked at 1.4GHz, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, an 8-megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, Bluetooth 2.1 and a microUSB port.
The smartphone also comes with some exclusive Nokia content like Nokia Drive, which is a free turn-by-turn, voice guided navigation app, Nokia Music with free cloud-based storage, and a number of other apps courtesy of Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5. Note that, unfortunately, the phone won’t be eligible for a Windows Phone 8 upgrade.
