Samsung Galaxy S3 now down to £360

You can now buy Samsung’s former top of the range smartphone, the Galaxy S3, from a popular eBay reseller for only £360. This represents a significant discount from its suggested retail price when it was launched back in May, and it stands at almost £170 less than Apple’s iPhone 5.

The South Korean company's device has been superseded by the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 LTE.

The Galaxy S3, which is available in the colour Pebble Blue, comes with a quad-core Exynos 4412 system-on-chip clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 4.8in 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 2,100mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera with a front-facing 1.9-megapixel one, Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich (with Jelly Bean already available), plus a slew of additional features too.

The display, for example, is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 which makes it resistant to scratches (but not necessarily to shocks).

Samsung has also included S Beam, which makes use of the phone’s NFC capability.
