The Lenovo IdeaPad S206 looks and feels like a netbook, but is in fact closer to a traditional laptop, as it comes with a decent haul of on-board hardware. This ultra-portable laptop is on sale via Laptop Outlet for £299 on eBay with 299 Nectar Points.
The S206 features an AMD E1-1200 dual-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard disk drive, integrated graphics, Windows 7 Home premium, an 11.6in 1,366 x 768 display, Wi-Fi, a webcam, Bluetooth, a card reader, three USB ports, an HDMI output, Ethernet, a VGA connector and a one year Lenovo Collect and Return warranty.
At 1.2kg, it is nearly as light as the lightest Ultrabook on the market - the Toshiba Satellite Z930 - and Lenovo has bundled Microsoft Office Starter 2010 with it. Note that it doesn’t come with any optical drive and that the CPU is roughly equivalent to a similarly clocked dual-core Intel Atom processor.
If size or weight are not an issue though, there are significantly better alternatives on the market, models that are full size notebooks (like the HP Pavilion DM-1) that come with more processing power, on-board storage and system memory while costing less as well.
