Acer Aspire Timeline M3 UltraBook with free Windows 8 upgrade price crunched to £370

Acer is pushing the boundaries as far as it can with its Aspire range of UltraBook, and the new Timeline M3 is now on sale at save-on-laptops via eBay for under £370, a price that includes 369 Nectar points, free delivery and Bullguard security software.

The device comes with an Intel Core i3-2377M dual core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 3MB L3 cache, a HM77 chipset, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard disk drive (storage is expandable via a two-in-one card slot) spinning at 5400RPM and a 20GB SSD, a DVD writer, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 CineCrystal LED backlit LCD, Intel HD 3000 Graphics, an island-style keyboard, Dolby Home Theater v4, HDMI, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, up to 8-hours battery life, a card reader, Blluetooth 4.0 and a HD webcam.

The device comes with a free upgrade to Windows 8 courtesy of Acer (you get a free refund for the £14.99 update), weighs a mere 2.25Kg and is only 20.7mm thick.

The ultra-portable M3 offers a much bigger keyboard compared to what you get on a normal UltraBook, plus there’s a DVD writer and a decent numeric keypad. Despite the fact that there is no full SSD option, the 20GB SSD apparently makes it possible to wake the UltraBook from sleep mode in a mere 2.5 seconds.
