O2 gives free £30 gift card with £50 LG Optimus L3 handset

The LG Optimus L3 smartphone now comes with a free £30 Toni & Guy Giftcard when you buy the phone on pay & go from O2. The handset can be unlocked for free but you will have to buy top-up that costs at least £7.50.

The phone, which was released earlier this year, comes with a Qualcomm MSM7227 system-on-chip clocked at 600MHz, with 512MB RAM, 1GB onboard storage, a card reader, Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, a 3.2in 320x240 pixels resolution, VGA video recording, a microUSB port, FM radio, GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi, FM radio, a massive 1540mAh battery and a decent design.

It is difficult to believe that the L3 originally started life with a £160 price tag before rapidly falling down to a more palatable £70 and now £50. The screen display is probably its biggest weakness and the reason why the smartphone is being flogged for such a low price.

The LG Optimus L3 will go head to head against the likes of the ZTE KIS or the ZTE Blade and many other entry level sub-£100 smartphones. Check out our review of the LG Optimus L3 smartphone here.
