UK mobile phone operator O2 is offering the Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone, the first flagship Windows Phone handset from the Finnish manufacturer, for as little as £120 on PAYG, a deal that includes a £20 voucher (to be spent at Next, Amazon.co.uk, Debenhams, M&S or Argos) but excludes a £10 top up voucher.
The deal also includes O2’s Priority Moments loyalty scheme. The phone will be locked to O2 but should be unlockable for free by the operator. The phone, which was released in 2011, comes with Windows Phone 7.5, which means that it will only be upgradable to Windows Phone 7.8, not to Windows Phone 8.
It has a curved glass 3.7in 480x800 AMOLED ClearBlack display, a single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 system-on-chip clocked at 1.4GHz, 512MB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a polycarbonate chassis plus an assortment of Nokia-only applications including Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps.
We recently reported about the Nokia Lumia 610 and Nokia Lumia 710 going on sale for £65 and £75 respectively, not of them SIM Free and refurbished. Check out the review of the Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone on ITProPortal.com
