Popular blogging site Tumblr has expanded its mobile presence to include Android tablets.
In a Monday update to its Android app, Tumblr added tablet support, as well as some design updates, and a new Following screen.
The update brings well-known Tumblr features to the larger screens, including advanced controls to save drafts, queue posts, and customise tweets, as well as the ability to manage multiple blogs, and find people to follow from your address book.
Tumblr version 3.2 is currently available for free download in the Google Play store.
Many Google Play store comments following the upgrade were positive, but one complained about slow load times. A Samsung Nexus S owner, meanwhile, wrote that while the tablet support is great, it could be better optimised for the available space, and "the new Following layout is garbage."
The five-year-old blogging platform was listed last month among the Internet's 10 most popular US websites, alongside Facebook, Google, and Twitter.
In June, iOS users got a taste of the "better in every possible way" Tumblr version 3.0 when the app was rebuilt from the ground up to include faster upload times, camera and text-post shortcuts, and offline support.
