Samsung Galaxy Note 2 down to £26 per month

Another home run for Affordablemobiles with this Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone, one that was launched back in September at IFA in Germany and quickly became one of the more popular handsets in the UK. It is basically a bigger version of the Galaxy S3 with some notable improvements and a stylus.

The deal costs a mere £26 per month, that’s £624 over the two-year duration of the contract which compares very well with the average £500 that the SIM free version of the phone costs. The plan includes 300 minutes, unlimited texts, plus 750MB data from T-Mobile. Unlike plans from rival networks, this one doesn’t come with any goodies or free Wi-Fi.

The 5.5in 1,280x720 Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy Note 2, which we reviewed recently, is the biggest we’ve seen on any mainstream smartphone.

The device is powered by a quad-core Exynos 4412 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz like its smaller brother, the Galaxy S3. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a rear 8-megapixel camera, a front facing 1.9-megapixel one plus Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Like for the S3, Samsung has included a few exclusive applications like the advanced S Pen with Air View. Note that this is not the 4G ready version currently available from EE.

Desire worked at ITProPortal right at the beginning and was instrumental in turning it into the leading publication we all know and love today. He then moved on to be the Editor of TechRadarPro - a position he still holds - and has recently been reunited with ITProPortal since Future Publishing's acquisition of Net Communities.
