£160 Asus Eee Pad Transformer: A tablet that has still a lot of life left in it

Spotbuyer sells the Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet, the TF101-1B027A, for £160 including delivery and 160 Nectar points via eBay - that's a £150 discount. The device comes in a non-retail box with all accessories and a one-year warranty.

The Eee Pad Transformer is famous for introducing the first keyboard docking station, which transforms the device into an ultra-portable laptop and doubles its battery life to 16 hours.

It is powered by a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 10.1in 1,280 x 800 pixel capacitive IPS display with Gorilla Glass, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a rear 5-megapixel camera, a front 1.2-megapoixel one, mini HDMI and a weight of only 680g.

Other features include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 24.4Whr battery, SRS Sound technology and the ability to record HD videos. You should be able to add a 32GB microSD card to boost its internal storage for another £15.

Rivals to this tablet include the Google Nexus 7, which is cheaper and has a more powerful processor but has a smaller display, no cameras, no microSD and can’t convert to a laptop.
