£270 Samsung Galaxy S3 mini: A smartphone that surfs on the Galaxy S3 popularity

Amazon sells the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini for £270 including delivery and a free £2 voucher to try its MP3 download store. Note that only the white model is available at this price; the blue one costs £8 extra.

The device is also eligible until the end of the month for Amazon Locker deliver where you can pick up your order at your convenience.

As for the phone itself, it is SIM free and as described before, it looks like the Galaxy S3, only smaller -which you may have guessed by now. Potential customers will be disappointed though to learn that the components within the smartphone are more similar to that of the Galaxy S2 though (and actually a number of sub £150 smartphones on the market).

It comes with a dual-core ST Ericsson Novathor U8500 SoC clocked at 1GHz (same as the £130 Xperia P), 1GB of RAM, 8GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, a 4in 800x480 Super AMOLED display, a 5-megapixel camera plus flash, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a front facing camera.

Samsung has also judiciously added a number of features borrowed from the S3 including Smart Stay and Smart Alert.
