Microsoft’s Xbox division is currently testing an automated tool which makes the international migration of a Live account a lot more easy.
According to Neowin the pilot program allows users to transfer their gamer tag, Microsoft points, achievements and Gold account status from one Live supported country to another, once every three months.
Each port only requires a few clicks which is an improvement on the current method that can take up to six weeks to complete.
"The conclusion of this pilot program is in preparation for the release of an automated tool which will be available in mid-January on Xbox.com," reads a statement from Microsoft.
The new feature will not be able to transfer all of a user’s settings and content as certain Xbox services are region specific. Moreover, Xbox Music subscriptions are also exempt from this feature.
