Samsung Galaxy S3 for £15 per month: A great way to get unlimited data and a top-end smartphone

If you are not a heavy mobile phone user (or use mostly VoIP-based services) and are looking for a top of the range smartphone, then consider this offer from E2Save.

The Carphone Warehouse-owned online phone retailer sells the Samsung Galaxy S3 Red for only £15 per month on a two-year contract with an upfront fee of £95. That’s a total cost of ownership of £455, which is around a £100 more than the price of the SIM free version of the phone itself.

The phone is available on Three and comes with 100 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data (but no tethering); you also get free Skype in the package. Note that a similar deal is available from Affordable Mobiles with thrice the amount of minutes for £24 per month without the upfront fee (that’s a TCO of £596).

The S3 comes with a quad-core Samsung Exynos SoC clocked at 1.4GJz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 4.8in, 1280x720 pixels Super AMOLED display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, an 8-megapixel camera with flash, full HD video recording, a 2-megapixel front facing one, a microSD card slot and a number of apps and services from Samsung.

The smartphone was unveiled back in May 2012 and you can read through our review of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on
