Canon has today launched two production scanners, providing organisations with the latest technology to process high volumes of documents quickly and reliably.
The company has touted the imageFORMULA DR-G1100 and DR-G1130 for large corporate groups and specialised scanning bureaus, as well as organisations in the financial, legal or healthcare sectors that are under pressure to convert high volumes of documents for digital processing and archiving.
The DR-G1100 and DR-G1130, which succeed Canon’s imageFORMULA DR-6050C, DR-7550C and DR-9050C scanners, boast scanning speeds up to 200ipm and 260ipm respectively. Both feature a 500-sheet automatic document feeder and can scan a variery of paper types, from ultra-thin sheets at 20gsm to thick card up to 255gsm.
The scanneras also sport higher durability feed rollers, with the DR-G1100 and DR-G1130 having suggested daily duty cycles of up to 25,000 and 30,000 scans apiece.
“Streamlining the processing and distribution of information by converting paper documents to digital remains a critical area of focus for organisations looking to increase their productivity and reduce costs,” said Sean Suematsu, European Document Scanning Solutions Director at Canon Europe.
“We’re responding to this need with the introduction of two high-quality production scanners replacing our successful imageFORMULA DR-6050C, DR-7550C and DR-9050C models with enhancements in speed, paper feeding and daily duty cycles.”
The imageFORMULA DR-G1100 and DR-G1130 go on sale this month and will be available through all Canon sales offices and selected distributor partners across Europe.
