Apple has enticed the chief financial officer of Xerox, Luca Maestri, into becoming its new corporate controller. He will be replacing Betsy Raphael who retired from the position of controller back in October.
Maestri will not be joining the smartphone manufacturer immediately, however, as he is staying on till 28 February, 2013, to help his former employer “manage the financial transition.”
The notice of his departure comes almost two years after joining Xerox as CFO back in February, 2011. Prior to that he operated as the CFO of Nokia Siemens Networks from 2008 and held various financial posts within General Motors over a 20 year period.
"Luca is a stellar finance executive whose contributions have brought great value to the transformation of Xerox into a services enterprise,” extoled Ursula Burns, Xerox CEO.
"He's helped strengthen our financial foundation, which will serve his successor, our company and our shareholders well for the long term," she added.
