£250 Fujitsu Lifebook AH512; Meet UK’s cheapest Windows 8 laptop

At just under £250 (with 249 Nectar points and free delivery), this Fujitsu Lifebook AH512 from Dabs Outlet from eBay is one of the better laptop deals of this beginning of the year.

It runs on a dual-core Intel Pentium B960 processor clocked at 2.2Ghz (which is based on the Sandy Bridge architecture and has 2MB L2 cache) with 4GB of RAM (upgradable to 16GB), a massive 500GB hard disk drive, a webcam, two speakers, a card reader, a 15.6in 1,366 x 768 display, a DVD writer, up to seven hours battery life thanks to a 4400mAh one and Intel HD graphics.

Ports include three USB 2.0, one HDMI, one GbE, one VGA and surprisingly enough an Express Card one (34/54). Other features include a spill resistant keyboard with a buit-in numeric keypad, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, one year warranty and Windows 8.

Devices around this price point would possibly either be netbooks or refurbished laptops; so we’re quite pleased to see that the Fujitsu Lifebook AH512 is neither. How they have managed to bring down the price of that product to £250 is nothing short of spectacular.
