The Acer Iconia W510 is on sale at Ballicom for £476.18 with free delivery, its cheapest price in the UK. The hybrid device is the follow up of the W500 and swaps its AMD Fusion core for an Intel Atom Z2760 dual core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.
Other features include 2GB of RAM, 64GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot (which allows the onboard storage to be upgraded to 128GB), a 10.1in 1,366 x 768 pixels, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Windows 8, a rear 8-megapixel camera, a front facing 2-megapixel one, microUSB, USB and HDMI ports, a 3,650mAh battery and an onboard Intel GMA3650 graphics subsystem.
At 580g (for the tablet alone) and with a thickness of 8.8mm, it is on par with other Windows tablets and slightly chubbier than Android or iOS ones.
Acer also bundled a keyboard docking station, one which was optional on the previous model. That docking station bumps the battery life of the product to 18 hours (while adding a keyboard and a touchpad).
The main rival of this hybrid will be the £399 Asus Vivotab Windows 8 tablet which we saw at CES 2013. You can read our review of the Acer Iconia W510 here.
