Apple iPhone 5 64GB available for £36 per month: grab it while you can

If you can stomach a refurbished smartphone and are not a massive data user, then check out this Apple iPhone 5 deal from E2Save, a subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse.

The online retailer is selling the 64GB version of the handset for £36 a month on a two year contract on O2 on the network’s On and On plan, one that also includes its Priority Moments loyalty scheme.

That’s a total cost of ownership of £864 which is a superb deal given that you’re not paying anything upfront for the handset and that the SRP for the 64GB version of Apple’s flagship handset is a whopping £699.

This means that the price of the contract by itself stands at £165 or just under £7 per month. As a reminder, the O2 plan includes unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 1GB of data.

The Apple iPhone 5 (which we reviewed last year) is an evolution of the iPhone 4S. It comes with a new much slimmer design tanks to its aluminium and glass material and a 1,138 x 640 pixels 4in display with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Other features include 4G connectivity, a dual-core A6 processor that is twice as fast as the A5 powering the iPhone 4S, an 8-megapixel rear camera, iOS6, a weight of 112g and a talk time of up to 8 hours.
