Get the Apple iPhone 5 for as little as £26 per month

BuyMobilePhones is offering the 16GB Apple iPhone 5 for as little as £26 per month on a two-year contract with an upfront fee of £120.

This translates into a total cost of ownership of £744, which is one of the lowest we’ve seen for Apple’s flagship smartphone, which costs £529 on its own.

The deal is on T-Mobile (now EE) and comes with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB data allowance. Unlike other networks, you don’t get any add-ons (free Wi-Fi) and there’s no loyalty schemes (like O2’s Priority Moments).

As for the phone itself, we reviewed it a while back and it is a big improvement on the iPhone 4S. Apple chose to alter its form factor making it thinner (under 8mm), getting rid of the glass back and changing the screen form factor to 16:9.

It is the only smartphone on the market with a 4in 1,164 x 640 display which means another additional row of icons on the screen.

Other features include a dual-core Apple A6 SoC, which provides with twice the performance of the SoC in the iPhone 4S, new Earpods, an 8-megapixel camera, full HD video recording, much faster Wi-Fi (compared to the previous generation) and 4G connectivity.
