The eagerly anticipated HTC M7 smartphone will arrive in February - but it won't break cover at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona as many had thought.
Highlighting a tweet by a source who claims "many years of work in the field" as well as "connections," Unwired View has it that the M7 will now be released on 19 February - a week before MWC kicks off.
According to tweet-happy Italian insider Flavio, HTC's dedicated M7 launch will be held "probably in London."
The new flagship handset is expected to feature a host of high-end specifications, including a 4.7in 1080p display, quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel camera, 32GB of on-board storage, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Early photos of the slender device (see image, top) look good to us, but as ever their authenticity can't be verified.
The HTC M7 had previously been tipped with an early-2013 release, and will be the Chinese manufacturer's second Full HD smartphone offering, following on from the HTC Butterfly launched back in October 2012.
