£1000 LG 60PM670T 3D TV: 3D display on a very big scale

If you want a very big television with 3D capabilities but don’t want to spend a fortune, check out the LG 60PM670t which is on sale at PCWorld for only £999.95 including delivery.

The television, which was launched at the beginning of last year, offers a massive 60in diagonal and active 3D viewing (which means that you will require expensive active shutter glasses, none of which comes with this model).

The 60PM670T is a plasma model which means that it consumes a bit more energy than its equivalent LCD counterpart at 183W.

Other noteworthy points include a full HD display, a 600Hz refresh rate, two 10W speakers, four HDMI ports, two USB 2.0 ones, VGA, SCART, a Freeview HD tuner, Wi-Fi capabilities and DLNA certification.

As expected, it is a smart TV and comes complete with a full web browser with a proprietary App Store (why they still don’t want to stick with Android is beyond me).

If you’re not into 3D, then there’s the Sharp LC60LE636E which costs £849 and comes with a free five year warranty. If you don’t care about the warranty, then the LG 60PA650T Plasma TV might be a better buy at £830.
