Cheapest Nintendo Wii U gaming console now down to £210

Head over to Shopto’s eBay outlet to get the Nintendo Wii U for only £209.85 with free delivery and 209 Nectar points the cheapest price we’ve tracked for Nintendo’s new flagship gaming console.

Note that this is the basic console package with 8GB onboard storage. Compared to the Nintendo Wii, the Wii U comes with a unique controller, one that has a 6.2in touchscreen display display that adapts to the game.

The console is powered by an IBM Power-based multi-core processor with four USB 2.0 connectors, an SD card slot, HDMI, S-Video and composite video outputs, a self-loading optical drive, Wi-Fi and backward compatibility with the Wii (both games and hardware).

Note that the console doesn’t come with the sensor bar that came as standard with its predecessor. Will the Wii U be as popular as the original Nintendo Wii and sell nearly 90 million units? Early results show that the tasks is slightly more difficult than what was expected.

The console is the first of the next generation models to appear on the market with the Xbox 720 and the PS4 expected to break cover soon. Check out our review of the Nintendo Wii U.
