Plusnet, the Yorkshire-based ISP purchased by telecoms giant BT a few years ago, is offering a call and broadband bundle that’s amongst one of the more competitive on the market.
For as little as £19.99 per month on an 18-months contract, you get unlimited fibre broadband that reaches up download speeds of up to 76Mbps and upload speeds of 20Mbps with absolutely no usage limit and no network traffic management.
The bundle also includes a free wireless router, McAfee Security, UK-based customer support, free activation (worth £50), evening and weekend calls to UK landlines for free a well as 0870 and 0845 numbers. Note that the price is only valid if you live in one of Plusnet’s defined “low-cost area” (otherwise that will be an additional £7 extra).
Also note that the line rental is excluded; that’s £13.99 per month when paid on a monthly basis and £10.49 when paid in advance for a year. You can add unlimited calls to UK landlines for another £4 and an additional 300 anytime international minutes to 35 international destinations for another £2.
The ISP also offer a classic ADSL package for £9.99 which includes the same services but top download speeds of up to 16Mbps.
