Etisalat - the United Arab Emirates-based telecoms operator - has announced a new tie-up between Chinese ICT solution provider, Huawei, and its subsidiary Etisalat Misr.
The vision of this new partnership is to boost the existing telecom infrastructure in Egypt. Etisalat happens to be one of UAE's leading telecom operators. The company released a statement, confirming that both Etisalat Misr and Huawei have agreed to strengthen their existing partnership.
The statement further said that the visionary behind the new strategic agreement between both companies is to "introduce advanced services in MBB, VAS, B2B, green energy, CRM, LTE and FMC in Egypt, overcoming the challenges in the Egyptian telecommunications industry and enhancing customer satisfaction in terms of quality, speed and reliability".
The Chinese telecoms giant has very active lately in the devices market with the launch of its new flagship handsets, the Ascend Mate and Ascent D2 smartphones at CES in Las Vegas earlier in January, as well as an affordable Ascend W1 Windows Phone 8 handset in Africa.
